Our Commitment to Your Privacy

We are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what your rights are.

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name and email address through MailPoet. Subscription is always opt-in and you may unsubscribe at any time.

When you register as a consultant, we collect the information submitted through the registration form, including your name, contact details, and location. This information is used solely to process your consultant application.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information only for the purposes it was collected:

To process and fulfil your order, arrange delivery, and handle returns or queries. To send you order confirmations, shipping updates, and receipts. To send you our newsletter and product updates, if you have subscribed. To process your consultant registration application. To improve our website based on anonymous analytics data. To comply with our legal obligations.

We will not use your information for any other purpose without your consent.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Under POPIA, we process your personal information on the following grounds: to fulfil a contract with you (processing your order), with your consent (newsletter subscription, consultant registration), and to comply with a legal obligation.

4. Payment Processing

We offer four payment methods: PayFast (credit and debit card), SnapScan, EFT bank transfer..

When you pay by card or SnapScan, you are redirected to the respective payment provider’s secure platform. We do not store your card details on our server at any point. PayFast is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant and uses 256-bit SSL encryption. SnapScan processes all transactions on their own secure platform.

For EFT payments, you send proof of payment directly to us with your order number. No card information is involved.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in South Africa. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration, or disclosure. Our website uses SSL encryption for all data transmission.

While no method of online transmission is 100% secure, we follow industry best practices and review our security measures regularly.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services which may process your personal information as part of providing their service to us:

Google Analytics — anonymous website usage tracking. MailPoet — newsletter delivery and subscriber management. PayFast — payment processing. SnapScan — payment processing. LiteSpeed Cache — website performance and page delivery.

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy policy and processes only the data necessary to provide their service.

7. Data Retention

We retain your order information for as long as required by South African tax and accounting law, which is generally five years. Newsletter subscriber data is retained until you unsubscribe. Consultant registration data is retained for as long as the consultant relationship is active. Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except in the following circumstances: where required by law or a court order, where necessary to process your payment through PayFast or SnapScan, where necessary to deliver your order through our courier partners, or if the business is acquired or merged, in which case you will be notified.

9. Your Rights Under POPIA

You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request access to that information, to request that we correct inaccurate information, to request deletion of your information where we are not legally required to retain it, to withdraw consent for newsletter communications at any time, and to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.
