Annique Hydrafine Gentle Gel Cleanser – 200ml
A sulphate-free gel cleanse for normal and combination skin that lifts impurities without stripping the oils your face still needs.
Over-cleansing is one of the easiest ways to unsettle an otherwise decent complexion. Many gels chase a squeaky-clean feeling and take the skin’s own oils with them. Hydrafine Gentle Gel Cleanser is built the other way around. It is a sulphate-free formula for normal and combination skin that creates a soothing lather, lifts away dirt, excess oil, impurities and make-up, and still leaves the face feeling clean, calm and refreshed rather than tight.
The blend is Green Rooibos for antioxidant calm, MarineMatt to absorb excess surface oil, Lamesoft to replenish the skin’s natural moisturising factor, and Vitamin E to help protect the barrier and settle irritation. Mild, skin-friendly surfactants do the washing. There is no Sodium Lauryl Sulphate in the formula, which is why it can be used daily even when skin is a little sensitive or delicate. Fragrance free. Light gel texture. Meant for the T-zone that shines and the cheeks that do not always want the same thing.
Annique’s advice is to cleanse only once a day, at night. Daytime sweat, make-up, pollution, bacteria and dirt belong in the basin before bed, so overnight treatments from the Forever Young and Essense ranges can sit on a clear surface. Cleansing again in the morning can strip natural oils and leave the barrier cranky. In the morning, rinse with lukewarm Rooibos water, then go straight into treatments, the moisturiser that suits you, and sunscreen. After this gel at night, lock hydration in with Hydrafine Moisturiser – 50ml.
A Balancing Gel Cleanser for Normal and Combination Skin
Normal skin is the easy neighbour: balanced oil and moisture, a soft texture, few breakouts, an even tone. It still needs a gentle daily wash, hydration, and protection so early ageing does not sneak in. Combination skin is trickier. The T-zone — forehead, nose, chin — runs oily, while the cheeks stay dry or normal. Pores can look larger on the nose. You can feel shiny and tight in the same hour. That is exactly the pattern this cleanser is aimed at: MarineMatt mattifies oily areas without over-drying, Lamesoft conditions so you are not left tight after rinsing, and Green Rooibos plus Vitamin E keep redness and environmental stress in check.
Massage it over face and neck in circles, then rinse with lukewarm water infused with green Rooibos. Press dry with a clean towel; do not rub. Follow with your preferred Essense and Forever Young treatment products, then the Hydrafine Moisturiser, and in the morning an Annique Rooibos sunscreen. Best used at night for a deeper reset and so the products that follow can actually land.
If your current cleanser leaves you shiny on the forehead and papery on the cheeks, or if SLS formulas make you sting, this is the quieter option: a gel that still lathers, still lifts make-up, and still respects the oils combination skin cannot afford to lose. Fifty-plus years of Rooibos skincare sits behind that recommendation. One thorough night cleanse, then leave the morning to a rinse, treatments, moisturiser and sun.

Deidre –
For years I have used the Annique cleansing milk. It is soft and it works brilliantly. I love the way my skin feels and looks. It is soft and just looks soft. If you prefer a soapy cleanser use the Synergy cleanser with the same result.
