Annique Lucid Moisture Lotion – 50ml
Light, fast-absorbing moisture for dry skin that wants hydration without a heavy, shiny finish.
Not every dry complexion wants a rich cream sitting on it all day. Some faces still feel tight and thirsty, yet they push back against anything greasy. Lucid Moisture Lotion was made for that middle ground. It is a light, non-irritating, fast-absorbing moisturiser that gives dry skin instant hydration, then leaves a more matt finish than Lucid Moisturiser for Dry Skin. Think of it as the lighter sister in the same family: same dry-skin brief, less weight on the surface, and a finish that looks like skin rather than cream.
Press it on gently, as often as the day asks for it. Tightness after air-conditioning, a cold morning, or a long stretch indoors is exactly when this lotion earns its place. It helps prevent very dry, dehydrated skin, improves hydration levels, and is described as giving both immediate and long-lasting moisturisation — without the richer feel of the range’s main dry-skin cream. It is fragrance-free, which matters when sensitive or mature skin is already close to the edge.
The formula is built around Shea butter, Green Rooibos, AquaVital+, and pre- and probiotics. Shea butter softens and hydrates as an emollient and, because of its fatty acids, helps the skin’s own barrier stand up to everyday environmental stress. Green Rooibos brings more antioxidants than fermented Rooibos and is used here as an anti-ageing, free-radical-quenching leaf extract. AquaVital+ is a plant moisturising complex from Tara seeds, a plant that had to hold water in a dry Andean climate. Pre- and probiotics in the Lucid range work as a pairing: probiotics as a protective shield, and a prebiotic oligosaccharide as their food so they can multiply.
A Matt-Finish Moisturiser for Dry Skin That Dislikes Heaviness
This lotion suits dry, dehydrated, sensitive and mature skin, people who live in dry or cold climates, and anyone who struggles with dryness but still prefers a more matt moisturiser. If your skin is very dry and comfortable in a richer cream, stay with Lucid Moisturiser for Dry Skin. If dryness is real but you want something you can press on through the day without looking shiny, this is the Lucid option.
For best results, apply it after the Forever Young anti-ageing or Essense treatment products that suit your skin. A typical evening line is Lucid Cleanser – 200ml, then treatments such as Skin Detox and Revitalising Cream, then this lotion. In the morning, press it on again whenever tightness returns. It is not a sunscreen and it is not a night-only balm. It is the daytime (and anytime) hydrator for dry skin that wants moisture to land quickly and then get out of the way.
Keep the rest of the Lucid cupboard honest. Cleanse once at night with the cream cleanser that does not foam. Seal overnight with Lucid Night Cream when skin feels depleted. Finish with Lucid Freshener after your creams. Use this lotion when you need a lighter layer that still takes dryness seriously. That is the whole point of a matt-finish dry-skin moisturiser: comfort without the coat of richness you do not always want to wear.
If you are choosing between the two Lucid day moisturisers, ask one question. Do you want the deeper, more cushioned cream, or do you want hydration that disappears into a matt surface? This fifty millilitre lotion is the second answer. Press, do not rub. Reapply when tightness comes back. Let the richer cream stay for the days or the skins that need it. Dry skin is not one texture, and Lucid made two moisturisers for that reason.
